Welcome to the Fourth Judicial District Court, Department No. 1 in Elko County, Nevada.

My name is Mike Memeo, District Judge. I was elected judge and took office on January 6, 1997. I received my B.A. with distinction from the California State University, Chico and my Juris Doctorate from the University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law in 1979. During law school, I served as a staff member and associate editor of the Pacific Law Journal. I am licensed to practice law in Nevada and California.

I have been married to my wife Colleen for 24 years and have two sons Joe and Matt. I am a member of the Lions Club. I teach a youth Chess Class every summer in addition to other community activities.

We are dedicated to contribute to the administration of justice through innovative programs that are practical and cost effective.
